Mission Statement
Our mission is to give glory to God and to assist
parents in the role as primary educators of their
children by offering specially prepared environments
founded upon the principles made by Dr. Maria
Montessori.
Twelve Points of the Montessori Method
This Week, Points 7-9
7. Though it does away with the necessary
coercion by means of rewards and
punishments, it achieves a higher discipline
than formerly. It is an active discipline which
originates within the child and is not imposed
from without.
8. It enables the teacher to deal with each
child individually in each subject, and thus
guide him according to his individual
requirements.
9. Each child works at his own pace. Hence
the quick child is not held back by the slow,
nor is the latter, in trying to keep up with the
former, obliged to flounder along hopelessly
out of his depth. Each stone in the mental
edifice is "well and truly laid" before the next
is added.

2010 BISHOP’S LENTEN APPEAL BEGINS
In the coming days, many of you will receive a
mailing from Bishop Loverde regarding the
2010 Bishops Lenten Appeal (BLA) please
read it over and consider your support of this
very important appeal that funds many of our
Diocesan programs and ministries.
This year’s BLA theme is “Charity is Faith in
Action.” As you reflect on your contribution,
pray for the intercession of Saint John
Vianney, the Universal Patron of Priests, to
guide you. Think about the many blessings in
your life, including the gift of your faith.
Please consider making a sacrificial pledge
that can be paid over the course of the year.
Please consider how your gift to the BLA will
help your brothers and sisters in our diocese
who are served by our ministries, programs
and services. The BLA requires financial
support from every one of us to be
successful. Charity is Faith in Action!
