DECLARATION ON CHRISTIAN EDUCATION GRAVISSIMUM EDUCATIONIS

 Program Overview

At Saint Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, faith formation classes are encouraged for all children in first grade through high school who attend non-Catholic schools. Please use the information contained on this website for further details about class schedules, curriculum, and Sacrament preparation.

The CCD program begins Monday evening, September 22, 2025

2025-2026 Classes:

Grades 1-7 will be using the Faith & Life On-line Program supplemented with in-person cluster meetings (see clusters and schedule below) on Monday nights from 6:00 pm-7:15 pm in the parish hall.

Grade 8 will meet in person Mondays from 6:00 pm-7:15 pm in Padre Pio Hall (basement of the rectory).

Clusters and Schedules

Cluster 1:  Grades 1, 2, and 3
Cluster 2:  Grades 4 and 5
Cluster 3:  Grades 6 and 7

Cluster Schedule:
      Meet at 6:00 pm in the Parish Hall: Decade of the Rosary – led by a catechist
      6:10 pm to 6:30 pm: Priest (or catechist) gives a catechetical talk in church.
      6:30 pm to 6:45 pm: Socialization in Parish Hall
                       (When available priest hears Confessions until 7pm or longer if required.)
      6:50 pm to 7:15 pm: Catechist provides catechetical talk or program in Parish Hall.

Cluster Meeting Dates:

Clusters 1, 2, & 3 (All Grades) meet on Monday, September 22nd, 2025 for a kick-off meeting from 6:00pm - 7:15pm and again on October 6th for the Parish Rosary.

Penance and First Holy Communion 2026


There will be two special meetings held for Parents of First Communicants

Wednesday, February 4, 2026 (Parents Only) 6:00pm - 7:00pm
       Wednesday, March 11, 2026 (1st Penance Parent/Child Meeting) 6:00pm -7:00pm

First Penance: Saturday, March 14, 2026 at 9 am following the 8:30 am Mass

First Holy Communion Practice: Thursday, May 14, 2026 - 6:00pm - 7:00pm

First Holy Communion: Sunday, May 17, 2026 at 12:00 mass.

1. Baptism certificate (This would be from your records.  If baptised at St. Catherine's please do not assume the rectory office has a copy of your child's original certificate.  Original baptismal certificates are not kept by the parish)

Sacramental Schedule

The Church typically opens by 7:30 a.m. and closes around 7 p.m.  But times may vary because of variations in the Pastor's schedule and the occasional inability to obtain help in locking the church at night.

The Confession Schedule continues

Sacrament of Penance:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 7:45 am – 8:15 am (No Confessions on Holy Days and civil holidays)
Saturday afternoon: 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm
Expanded schedule for Advent and Lent
 
All Day Eucharistic Adoration
Every Wednesday: 1 pm through Thursday morning, 8:30 am
Every First Friday: 9 am through Saturday morning, 8:30 am

Mass Schedule:
Sunday:
8 am 10 am 12 Noon*
*Novus Ordo Latin Mass

Saturday: 8:30 am & 5:30 pm Vigil Mass

Weekdays: 8:30 am, (Wednesdays: 12:15 pm)

Holydays (except Christmas):
8:30 am & 7 pm

Although the regular weekday Mass schedule is solidly in place, since this is a one-priest parish, there may be times when Mass cancellations are necessary.  Please register here if you attend weekday Masses and want to receive cancellation notifications and other updates as opportune.  We will not abuse your contact information.  Click here
